What are your three main problems or concerns with the NDIS?

Serious under funding of Support Coordination budgets, especially for vulnerable children.
NDIS response to issues, enquiries continuous extensions and plan rollovers. This does not capture any new, relevant and up to date information around participant context, living situation and most importantly their goals.
Inconsistent information from the call centre, you can ring three or four times and receive as many different answers.
Change of circumstances, plan variations, urgent submissions not treated as such, thus disadvantaging people who are in a dire situation.

How do these three main problems affect you and/or others?

Under funding of Support Coordination - This leave participants unable to receive professional assistance for the life of the plan to navigate a difficult and everchanging landscape and unable to utilise their funding effectively to achieve their NDIS goals. Requires more paperwork as Support Coordinators will continue to submit changes of circumstance, increasing the work load at NDIS.
Responding to issues and emergencies - Leaves participants without supports
Inconsistent information - Confuses the general populace, making their NDIS journey very stressful

What do you think are possible solutions to those problems?

Increase Support funding as recommended by all reports uploaded, read the reports to build the plan with a person centred approach, these are all based on plan goals and first hand interactions with every participant.
- Addressing escalated and urgent change of circumstance submissions and plan variations in a much more timely manner.
- Ceasing rollovers and extensions due to carrying over old, no longer relevant information with regard to participant context this , living arrangements and goals.

What parts of the NDIS are working well for you?

This question is very difficult to answer, as nothing comes to mind.

Is there anything else that you would like to tell the NDIS Review?

Please take on board all the information I have provided, I am a Support Coordinator of five years and have seen the decline in the process from then to now, slow response times, Support Coordination under funded, no price rise for Support Coordination for 3 years.
