What are your three main problems or concerns with the NDIS?

• My last NDIS plan was cut by $10,000, mainly in the ‘capacity building’ category. This is the allocation that supports me staying functional and able to keep working. As I am 51, even if I take a significant pay-cut (recently made redundant), this sees me paying tax for some time yet. Given my level of disability, I may otherwise opt to exit the workforce. I appreciate that I am in a financial position to allow this, and conscious that this is not the position of many participants.
• The NDIS review process is stressful, and is causing angst amongst both participants and Allied Health professionals.
• There seems to be a higher focus on reducing costs, but processes being implemented increase the cost. I have seen multiple examples where additional reports are requested, when the cost of the report is greater than the cost of the underlying item, or will reallocate funding from therapy to report writing.

How do these three main problems affect you and/or others?

much time allocated to a stressful process.
