10 areas for improvement
How can we empower you through the planning process?

Planners need to be local and understand the community. I have had plans reviewed through someone who is not local and it was just not appropriate for my area.

What is the best way to provide supports for those not in the NDIS?

This one worried me as it looks like you are trying to Ove thing away form NDIS. The support was not there before, so I am not sure why it would be there after.

How you would define reasonable and necessary?

There is not a one size fits all here as my needs are different to other participants.

How can the market be better designed, structured and supported?

This sounds like my provider will only get paid if something good happens - but my disability is lifelong and help is in tin increments. My provider works hard for me and my family I'm supporting me. Please don't scare him away.

How should outcomes and performance be measured and shared?

Depends on the evidence. I read many different so called evidence based outcomes that I know do not fit my needs. Let me continue to get the help I need in my way.

How would you build better outcomes or goals into your plan?

My providers are working on longer term outcomes. I do not like how you think everyones providers are the same. You are hearing different things to what I am experiencing.

What does good service from someone helping you navigate the NDIS look like?

Keeping my planner local and not centralised would be the best for me. The time I had a centralised planner (in a different state) it was hopeless. My LAC is brilliant and it scares me the planning might be taken away form my local LAC who gets what I need and knows the local services.

Is there anything else that you would like to tell the NDIS Review?

Please keep the LACs local, and please stop writing it up as though all providers are not doing the right thing by us.
