How can we empower you through the planning process?

it would be less stressful if how we use the funding wasn't arbitrarily restricted. even if i got less finding but could use it how i the disabled one saw fit

What is the best way to provide supports for those not in the NDIS?

affordable physical/exercise therapy for any disabled person. if exercise has so many benefits and improves quality of life than all disabled people (not just physically dis) should have access to that.

How you would define reasonable and necessary?

it should not be up to the NDIS what is "reasonable and necessary" i believe specialist should be able to make that judgment/add approved uses for funding. i am autistic, and what the ndis considers "reasonable and necessary" is so ill-fitting to what i really need its not funny. like i am genuinely mad.

How can the market be better designed, structured and supported?

price caps. shits fricking expensive, and i get some of its reasonable but maybe some guides would help. pensioners discounts? perhaps some kind of middle ground between medicare and ndis? like if u have a disability maybe if you got a little more on medicare. or providers get a small perk when they provide services to disabled people.

How should outcomes and performance be measured and shared?

tbh i have no clue how much the ndis knows. idk if my supporters have been prompted to write reports.
i believe our specialist, psychiatrists, the people we see face to face and know us should be involved as they understand us

How would you build better outcomes or goals into your plan?

let us use our funding as we see fit!!! i may only need a service for 6 months. and then because i can only use my funding for 2 things i am left flipping the bill for a ton of shit. fuck me i have no chance of living away from my parents for at least 5 years

What does good service from someone helping you navigate the NDIS look like?

tbh someone who actually knows what's going on. my occupational therapist and phych barely understand what's going on or the beuroccacy

How should housing and living options be improved to build a good life?

tbh i have no chance living away from my parents for atleast the next 5 years. i hope to move out before age 30 (im almost 20) but in this housing crisis... idk

How should the safeguarding system be improved for a better NDIS?

yes yes yes. the way the ndis deems what i need is in-dignifying. i can't access what i need and things i used to access are being removed. the fact that i have adhd AND autism and the adhd isnt even listed for context?
like those 2 are comorbidities and ill tell you its a shit show having both. its all about how i am disabled on paper. did you know i had a 3 month mental health recovery after a surgery. i was physically healed but bro if u saw me i could barely look after myself

Is there anything else that you would like to tell the NDIS Review?

listen to us. listen to our practitioners. include them, consult them on what's actually useful. i am greatful for what i get but oml its a headache to use. thank you for listening. i really do hope the system gets better as well as more sustainable.
