What are your three main problems or concerns with the NDIS?

Getting qualified and able support workers with people with severe mental illness .

When problems do occur you have no one to go to you need someone to go to about it .

Not approving services that other people had have approved when other people with the same condition have had things approved.

How do these three main problems affect you and/or others?

I have no support workers got approved into my home for a year my art therapist got pulled out .
I don't have the supports and requirements I need when I'm complex and so low functioning . My mum has to spend alot of time talking to people and advocating to get better funding for supports . My mental health has gotten worse without the support workers .

What do you think are possible solutions to those problems?

Having support workers paid more for complex clients that are not managed easily . The support workers need to have the qualifications , training and ability to work in this area . There should be an area at the ndis where you take your problem or complaint to and they sort it out .

What parts of the NDIS are working well for you?

There was a previous company that provided support workers that came to the house everyday until the company pulled out because of behaviour and them coming everyday of the week really helped me .

My previous art therapist has been supportive and helpful.

Is there anything else that you would like to tell the NDIS Review?

NDIS Is a great concept but there are issues that came up that weren't foreseen like the work force shortage and lack of ability within the workforce
